Website Service Agreement
The short version
- You pay for your website once: half when you sign, half at launch.
- When it is paid in full, the website is yours. It lives on your own domain and hosting.
- Care is optional, billed monthly, and you can cancel any time.
- Once we have started work, the deposit is not refundable.
- Extra work outside what is listed here is $75 per hour or a fixed quote you approve first.

1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between Teodor Marian Aanei, doing business as Proprietor Studio (“we”, “us”), and the business that pays for a website or care plan (“you”, the “client”).
You accept this agreement when you tick “I agree” and complete a payment through our Stripe checkout, or when you sign it in writing. The person accepting confirms that they are allowed to agree on behalf of the business.
2. What we build
You choose one package. The package and price shown at checkout (or in a written quote) are part of this agreement.

Each package includes two rounds of changes on the preview before launch. A round is one list of changes sent together. More rounds, or features not listed for your package, are extra work (section 7).
Times start when we have the materials we need from you (section 4) and are estimates, not guarantees.
3. Payment
- Deposit: 50% of the package price, paid at signing. Essential: $600. Growth: $1,750.
- Balance: the other 50%, invoiced when the website is ready to launch and due within 7 days of the invoice.
- We launch and hand over the website after the balance is paid.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies by law is added to the invoice.
- Your own third-party costs are paid by you directly: your domain name, hosting, and any booking, ordering or other software you choose to use.
4. What we need from you
- Your logo, photos, text, prices, menus, hours and any other content, within 14 days of signing (we can help write and organise it).
- Access to the accounts we need for launch, such as your domain, or permission to set them up in your name.
- Feedback on each preview within 7 days.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, and that your information (prices, hours, claims) is accurate. If we hear nothing from you for 30 days, we may pause the project. We restart it when you are ready, and the schedule moves accordingly.
5. Launch, hand-over and ownership
- At launch we put the website live on your domain and hosting account. These accounts are in your name and stay yours.
- When you have paid in full, you own the website we made for you: its design, its text written for you, and the files. You may use, change or move it as you like.
- Some parts come from others and keep their own licences, for example fonts, stock or AI-generated images and video, and third-party software. We only use parts you are allowed to use on your website.
- We may reuse our general methods, layouts and code tools in other work, but never your content or your branding.
- We may show your website in our portfolio. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.
Launch check (30 days)
If something we built does not work as agreed and you tell us within 30 days of launch, we fix it at no cost. This covers our mistakes. It does not cover new changes, content updates, or problems caused by later edits, hosting or third-party services.
Without a care plan
After hand-over the website is yours to run. We do not monitor, update or change it unless you subscribe to a care plan or ask us for paid work.
6. Care plans (optional)
A care plan is a monthly subscription for looking after your website after launch.

Every care plan includes
- Daily check that your website is online.
- Monthly health check: speed, links, forms and phone numbers.
- Backups of the website files we look after, with one-click undo of our changes.
- Keeping an eye on renewal dates for your domain and services.
- A short monthly report by email. Growth care adds suggestions to bring in more business.
- Growth care also includes Google Business Profile upkeep and a seasonal refresh twice a year.
Edits
An edit is a change that takes up to about 30 minutes, such as new hours, a menu update, a photo swap or a new special. You send it by text or email, we show you a preview, and it goes live when you approve. Changes you make yourself on your edit page do not count. Unused edits do not carry over to the next month. Larger work is extra work (section 7).
Billing and cancelling
- Care is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, starting on the day you subscribe.
- Month to month, no minimum term. Cancel any time in your customer portal or by email. Care stops at the end of the month you have already paid for. Partial months are not refunded.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry and we will remind you. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, care stops until it is paid. Your website stays yours and stays online on your own hosting.
- We may change care prices or contents with 30 days’ notice by email. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
7. Extra work
Anything not included in your package or care plan is extra work at $75 per hour, or a fixed price we agree with you in writing before we start. We never start paid extra work without your approval.
8. Cancelling a website build and refunds
- Before we start work: you may cancel and we refund your deposit in full.
- Once we have started work (for example research, design or writing for your website), the deposit is not refundable. You receive the designs and drafts made so far.
- If you cancel after the website is ready to launch, the balance is still due for the work completed.
- If we have to cancel for reasons on our side, we refund what you paid for work we have not delivered.
9. Privacy and your accounts
We use the information and logins you give us only to build and look after your website. We keep logins private, do not share them, and do not sell your information or your customers’ information. Messages sent through forms on your website go to you.
10. What we do not promise
- We build to good standards, including speed and accessibility, but we cannot promise any specific search ranking, number of visitors or amount of sales.
- We are not responsible for outages, changes or mistakes of services we do not control, such as hosting, domain companies, payment, booking or ordering providers.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not responsible for lost profits or indirect losses.
11. General
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- If one part of this agreement cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- This agreement, your checkout or written quote, and any written changes we both agree to are the whole agreement between us.
- New versions of this page apply to new purchases. The version you accepted applies to your purchase.
